Review the scientific nature of disease, its development, causes, and consequences. Learn massage implications for certain disorders.
Build the core skills of Swedish massage: joint movements, stretches, exercises, and soft tissue manipulation.
Integrate Swedish techniques into clinical practice and explore specialty applications.
During the internship, students practice in the facility under the supervision and direction of a Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor (LMI). The student will interview clients, perform massage therapy, and review client evaluations to run successful operation of a massage therapy business.
