Our Policies

Here at Healing Hands Massage Institute, we value our clients and our therapists. We find it important to uphold these standards in order to achieve the highest quality service we take pride in giving every day. In order to achieve this quality, we have important procedures and policies we ask all of our guests to read and follow so their appointment is completed in the best possible manner. Please take a moment to read the policies below, so you know what to expect from your visit and future interactions with Healing Hands Massage Institute.

Arrival to your Appointment

Please arrive to your scheduled appointment 10 to 15 minutes in advance in order to fill out appropriate forms, including the body diagram form, which tells us where and where not to treat you. All sessions at HHMI have and follow a specific time schedule in order to accomodate all of our guests to the best of our abilities. If late arrival is inevitable, your scheduled service may be shortened in order to not interfere with other appointments scheduled.

Important Information about your Appointments with HHMI

Please be aware that while we offer our appointments to clients in half-hour increments, we allocate 10 minutes of your session to accomodate your arrival consultation with your provider as well as accomodate your dressing/undressing time. As an example, when you book a 60-minute appointment here at Healing Hands Massage Institute, actual hands-on time will be 50 minutes while the other 10 minutes are used for the consultation portionn of the appointment.

Cancellation Policy

Here at Healing Hands Massage Institute, we value your business, and we ask that you respect the office's work schedule. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call us and notify us about your change as soon as possible. If you are unable to request cancellation or rescheduling prior to your appointment, you may be placed under a temporary ban from scheduling further appointments in order to protect the time of our other clients and therapists. Several of our therapists come to provide massages on a 'on-call' status, and we recognize this as something valuable to the integrity of our estabishment. For these reasons, we must hold this policy in place.

Late Arrival Policy

If you are late to your appointment, we may not be able to accomodate your session to the full-length orginally scheduled. This is due to other clients having appointments after yours. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow us to, we may be able to accomodate lost time for your session. This will be at the discretion of HHMI.

No Show Policy

Here at Healing Hands Massage Institute, we understand that unanticipated events can occur to any of our clients. These reasons can include car problems, daycare issues, illness, and more. However, we do ask that you call in order to cancel your appointment. Clients who are unable to contact HHMI in order to cancel their appointment will be placed under a ban protocol, and you will not be able to schedule an appointment in the future. We respect the time and business for everyone who comes into Healing Hands Massage Institute, and for this reason, we must hold this policy strictly.

Modesty and Sexual Harassment Policy

We do our best to protect the modesty of the client and the therapist with every session completed here at HHMI. It is because of this that we ask clients dress modestly, and follow procedural undressing and dressing guidelines here at the school. If at any time during your session you feel uncomfortable, please notify the therapist to end the session. Please note, that if a therapist feels uncomfortable, they may also the end the session.

Beware that we do not tolerate any form of harassment, sexual harassment, or verbal harassment. Any behavior deemed as harassment will result in immediate termination of your appointment and in a ban from Healing Hands Massage Institute.

Medical Conditions Policy

While we take medical information from you before your session with our therapists, we also advise clients to notify and inform their therapists with existing and newly formed medical conditions in order to for them to provide the best service for you. Here at Healing Hands, we believe communication between the therapist and client is crucial in order to provide a fully tailored service for every client that walks through our doors.
